About Static
Learn - Perform - Entertain
Static Bollywood Dance is a Calgary-based dance and entertainment company bringing energy, creativity, and connection to the stage since 2004.
Founded and led by choreographer and creative director Shweta Kapani, Static blends Bollywood with a range of dance styles, including semi-classical, Bhangra, and other fusion influences. Our performances celebrate the richness of South Asian music and movement while making room for creative expression.
From weddings and corporate events to festivals and community celebrations, we create performances that connect with audiences and bring each occasion to life. We also offer classes, workshops, and private choreography for those looking to learn, build confidence, or prepare for a special event.
At the heart of Static is a love of dance and the people it brings together.
